Wow, these first two weeks of a "working full-time outside the home Mama" has been kicking my butt. I'm learning how to the responsibilities and of a mother, a wife and a working person and frankly, I'm . The schedule is chaotic, hectic and exhausting and it looks like it will a lot of getting used to. I guess it'll all settle down and become more once I figure out a way to fit all these things and routines into my day but at this point I'm in my head.
Here's how my day goes. The alarm goes off at 5:15. I drag myself out of bed and out to the kitchen to finish putting together the kids' lunches. I try to do as much as I can the night before so I don't have too many helpers to deal with. I also out the boys' outfits the night before so I only have to get them dressed in the morning without to look around for missing socks.
While the boys sit at the table eating breakfast I get in the shower. When I'm done washing and getting dressed I up all their stuff, put them in their father's car, tell everyone goodbye and I'm to work. Thankfully, Mike does drop-off. Otherwise there's no way I could it to work on time. That said, the drive to work is a peaceful start to the day, even though the recent snowstorms have made the commute a bit of a .
