the trail (2) in a tough spot

Ross eventually decides to do the right thing and tell Rachel about his fling. Not surprisingly, she gets mad and won't talk to him.
Ross: What, now you're not talking to me? Look Rachel, I'm sorry, I was my mind. I thought I'd lost you, I didn't know what to do. Come on, how crazy must I have been to do something like this? I don't cheat, that's not me. I'm not that wanted that break, either. You're the one that bailed us. You're the one that ran when things just a little rough.
Rachel: That is neither here nor there.

Ross: Okay, well here we are. Now we're a tough spot again. What do you want us to do? How do you want to handle it? Do you wanna fight for us? Or do you wanna bail? Look, I did a stupid thing. I I could take it back, but I can't. I just can't see us throwing away something we know is so good.
Rachel: You can't just kiss me and think you're gonna make it all go away. It doesn't work that . It just doesn't make it better. I really think you need to go now.
Ross: This morning you said there was nothing so big that we couldn't work past it together...
Rachel: Yeah, what the did I know.

Ross: Look, there's got to be a way we can work this. I can't imagine being without you.
Rachel: Well, you'd better get used to it. You're a totally different person to me now. I used to think of you somebody that would never, ever hurt me, and now I just can't stop picturing you lying in bed with her. It doesn't matter what you say, or what you do. It's just changed, everything. Forever.
